Parents and other stakeholders working to improve children's lives advocate for the changes they want to make. The skills they need include data gathering and analysis, civics, communications and organizing. Discovery community groups are using these tools to increase awareness about early childhood issues, formulate strategies and find solutions.
The Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance provides a statewide collaborative table where multiple stakeholders, including the key statewide organizations and Discovery community representatives, can come together. Members share their organizational perspectives, develop a shared agenda, and work together to improve policy and practices that improve outcomes for children.
