Starting School: Effective Transitions Show Details Web site
Written by Sue Dockett and Bob Perry, University of Western Sydney, in Early Childhood Research and Practice, published by the ERIC Clearinghouse on Elementary and Early Childhood Education (ERIC/EECE) in Fall 2001. This paper focuses on effective transition-to-school programs and reports on the research conducted by the Starting School Research Project. Using a framework of 10 guidelines developed through the research, the paper provides examples of effective strategies and transition programs.
