Community Spotlight: Windsor and Bloomfield Partner with Statewide Organizations to Sponsor All-Day Event for Parents

Windsor Early Childhood Council, Windsor Family Resource Centers, Windsor Social Services, The Alliance for Bloomfield’s Children, Connecticut Parents as Teachers, CT PIRC, Children’s Trust Fund, and the Connecticut After School Network are hosting Childhood Conversations: "Putting the Pieces Together" on March 28. 

This day-long event features opening remarks from David Nee, and keynote presentations from parenting experts Anthony Wolf, Ph.D. and Scott Noyes.  Participants will choose from twenty workshops over the course of the day.

Community Conversations in Connecticut-- An Article by David Nee

David Nee wrote an article about Community Conversations for Grantmakers for Education's Fall Newsletter. The article describes the history of the Memorial Fund's work with the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education, Public Agenda and the League of Women Voters in Connecticut to create the Community Conversations Model and the impact the Conversations have had in communities across the state.
