Applications for Responsive Grants
The William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund is deeply concerned for what our national campaign and election results will mean for those targeted by the White Supremacist, sexist, xenophobic, and homophobic ideology and language. In response, the Memorial Fund is offering immediate support to communities in Connecticut responding to current and emerging threats, trauma and/or harassment related to these manifestations of hate and bias and oppression.
We invite you to apply for funding and/or meeting space to give immediate, urgent support to these communities. This support could include gatherings, nonviolent direct action, crisis response or therapeutic support that address the physical, social, emotional wellbeing and safety being threatened.
Organizations, groups, and individuals that do not hold a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status may apply but will require a fiscal sponsor with a 501(c)(3) status for disbursement of funds. The Memorial Fund anticipates being able to assist with matching fiscal sponsors to applicants. It is our intent to move funds as quickly as possible to meet the needs in the community.
