Plymouth’s journey through the Graustein Discovery began in 2002. Today, the Plymouth Early Childhood Council is working hard to ensure that Plymouth’s children (birth to age eight) are safe, healthy and successful. Our Council consists of voices that represent the diversity of Plymouth, creating partnerships and working as a collaborative.

Our Discovery path continues as we work and advocate for sustainable changes that will better the lives of Plymouth’s children and their families. This past year, Plymouth engaged parents by hosting a Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) for over a dozen local champions for children and families.  These PLTI graduates, through their dedication and hard work, have already made positive changes in the community through the planning and implementation of their final projects, and we look forward to their participation in the Plymouth Early Childhood Council in the future.

We are moving forward on our community planning agenda by evaluating collected data as well as gathering additional information through focus groups, interviews and surveys. Our Council is making strides towards a better Plymouth.
