Quality research and information exchange can help to change public policy and educational practices when change is needed. Research can also help to replicate what is already working. Communities are using research to inform their local early childhood plans and to assess the effectiveness of programs.
Connecticut Voices for Children, one of the core statewide partners in Discovery, is a research organization that promotes the well-being of all of Connecticut’s children and youth by providing information for making strategic public investment and wise public policies. Voices is recognized by early childhood advocates and legislators as a primary source for objective research, as well as policy and budget analyses.
