Plan Implementation grants are available for communities to implement their comprehensive local birth-to-age-8 community plan, using results-based community decision-making and accountability processes. These towns and cities also agree to organize their early childhood efforts within a single collaborative council and are required to provide a local match each year.
Plan Enhancement grants support communities to complete their local plan and to organize their early childhood efforts within a single collaborative council. No local match is required.
Plan Development grants support communities to develop their own local plan. No local match is required.
Early Childhood Project grants support parent leadership and engagement, community engagement, early childhood projects working directly with parents, teachers and young children, or other local activities that support the Discovery strategic plan. These grants, modest in comparison to the other options, are not required to maintain an inclusive collaborative and do not require a local match.
