Community Highlight: Early Childhood Task Force in the Valley Holds Breakfast for Educators and Elected Officials

On Monday, October 5, the Early Childhood Task Force of the Valley Council for Health and Human Services celebrated National Child Health Day with Valley elected officials and educators. Elaine Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Connecticut Commission on Children, was the keynote speaker. Ms. Zimmerman talked about how children in Connecticut, where the poverty rates have risen faster than any other state in the country, have been affected by the recession.

H1N1 Guide for Faith-based & Community Organizations
